With our software solutions for digital energy and CO2 management, we create transparency in our customers' energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. This enables them to identify and avoid inefficiencies, thereby saving energy, costs and CO2 emissions.
The basis for this: data—that exists in every company but not always digitally, in the right format or in the right place. We are changing this and building a customized, automated energy data collection system for each customer. In over 10 years of company history, we have been able to integrate every measuring point, no matter how special, into the overall system.
Where we come from
OPTENDA was founded in 2013 under the name "GILDEMEISTER energy efficiency GmbH", as a project of the turning and milling machine manufacturer GILDEMEISTER (now DMG MORI). The aim was to develop a practice-oriented solution for in-house energy management. Initially only tested internally, the solution, our Energy Monitor software, proved to be a valuable functional tool that was soon also successfully marketed externally.
With the change to the Steag Iqony Group in 2019, the company was renamed to its current name OPTENDA. Since May 2025, Possehl Digital has also been one of our shareholders as an additional strategic partner.
From the SME sector for the SME sector
Our origins lie in the SME sector, and the majority of our customers come from the SME sector. We therefore know and understand their needs, processes and specific challenges and requirements very well. That's why our offering focuses primarily on practical applications in energy and CO2 management in order to support them with our data-based, digital and automated approach.
It is important to us that our solutions always meet the current requirements of our customers. We make this possible with a standardized range of functions that is continuously being expanded, while at the same time offering maximum flexibility in terms of system structure and data connection.
